The second camp of the Dare2Move4Nature project took place in Romania

It was organized by the project partner AJSPT Suceava (Association for Sport for All Suceava), and the camp brought together youth teams from Romania, Lithuania (Širvintų Sporto Klubas) and Slovenia (Center Veriga, Inštitut Impact). Slovenia was represented by Taja, Žigi, Maj, and Polona.

After a long journey (16 hours!) into the Romanian wilderness, we finally arrived at the camp, which turned out to be quite a comfortable glamping site. We opened the camp with rafting on the Bistrița River, and in the afternoon some participants tried paintball, while others went to one of the many crosses on top of the local hills.

The next day we experienced an adrenaline-filled zipline ride from Gura Humorului hill.

If the first time we could use a chairlift to reach the top, the second time we climbed on foot. We ended the day with a visit to the famous Voroneț Monastery.

On the last day, we went on a more demanding hike around the legendary “Ladies’ Rock” on the Rarău Mountain, where we enjoyed breathtaking views (and also the fact that we Slovenians are practically born mountaineers).

With two successfully completed camps, we concluded the scouting part of the Dare2Move4Nature project and continue with the implementation of the remaining project objectives.

We sincerely thank the entire team of AJSPT Suceava (County Association Sportul pentru Toți Suceava) for their hospitality and for creating an unforgettable adventure.
