SoLeader Preparatory Visit Sets the Stage for Youth Exchange in Greece

Representing ENGSO Youth at the preparatory visit were Nadica Sechkov, Project and Partnership Manager, and Anca Oprea, Young Delegate from the Social Inclusion Working Group. Their participation contributed to ensuring that youth perspectives and inclusive approaches remain central to the project.

During the two-day meeting, partners worked closely together to review and refine all key aspects of the youth exchange. A major outcome of the visit was the finalisation of the programme, including workshops, sport-based activities, and intercultural learning sessions that will engage around 60 young participants from across Europe.

In addition to shaping the content, partners also addressed practical and organisational elements, ensuring that all logistical details are in place for a smooth and impactful implementation. Particular attention was given to aligning the activities with the project’s core themes of active citizenship, inclusion, sustainability, and the social value of sport.

The SoLeader Youth Exchange will bring together young people aged 17–30, providing them with a unique opportunity to learn, collaborate, and exchange ideas on how sport can be used as a tool for positive social change. Participants will not only engage in interactive learning experiences but also contribute to the development of youth-led ideas, toolkits, and local action plans.

The preparatory visit in Athens played a crucial role in strengthening cooperation among partners and ensuring a shared vision for the project. With the programme now finalised and responsibilities clearly defined, the consortium looks forward to welcoming participants to Olympia this August for an inspiring and impactful exchange.
