Social media has become a ubiquitous part of our daily lives, and this includes the world of sports. From connecting fans with their favorite athletes and teams to bringing global audiences together for major sporting events, the potential of social media to revolutionize the way we experience sports is immense.
However, its use in sports has also raised some ethical concerns. Athlete privacy, cyberbullying, and the impact of social media on mental health are just a few of the issues that have emerged.
In this workshop, we’ll explore the dual nature of social media in sports by delving deeper into these ethical concerns and exploring ways to address them while also harnessing the potential of social media for positive outcomes in sports.
Through interactive discussions and brainstorming sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to share your ideas on how social media can be leveraged for positive outcomes in sports while addressing potential ethical concerns.
Whether you have a general interest in social media and sports or are specifically interested in the role it plays in everyday sports life, this workshop is for you.
