Description:
Provides ongoing, person-centred support for Young Ambassadors to develop as confident, motivated, and skilled young leaders. Participants learn through leadership by receiving positive and meaningful opportunities and experiences to enhance their integral skills.
Schools who register for the programme receive access to:
Conferences;
Virtual webinars;
Supporting resources;
Stakeholder training;
Network panels;
Termly newsletter.
Additionally, there is also a National Young Ambassador Panel made up of 22 young people aged 14-21 years old. The 22 members represent the 22 local authorities in Wales. This panel helps shape the programme, delivers the regional conferences and has access to training opportunities.
This initiative is funded by Sport Wales and the National Lottery since 2009.
