Sports youth within the federal state

Duration: Board Members are elected every 3 Years 

Procedure for involvement: Election. 

Specific Criteria:  

• Age limit of 27 at the time of election. Some roles within the board can be occupied by members 27 years or older at the time of their election. 

• Be part of one club or association that is a member of the respective State Sports Federation. 

Description:  

The sports youth of the State is the youth organisation of the State overall Sports Federation. It represents the interests of its member organisations at the state level and advocates for the needs and concerns of young people involved in sport in the specific state. The sports youth of this state coordinates the work of its member organisations to further develop sport activities and youth work, promoting education in and through sport. Members of the sports youth are the youth organisations of the member clubs and associations of the State Sports Federation. 

For example the Sports youth Hesse brings together the interests of over 800,000 children, adolescents and young people up to the age of 26 in around 7,500 sports clubs and youth sport organisations across the state of Hesse. This makes it the largest youth sports organisation in the state and an important provider of child and youth welfare services. 

The board of Sports youth Hessen consists of several members who are elected by the youth assembly every three years. The board includes positions such as the chairperson, deputy chairperson, treasurer, and further members responsible for various areas of youth sports and social work. The majority of the board members are under the age of 27 at the time of their election, ensuring a strong representation of young people. Additionally, the managing director is part of the board in an advisory capacity.
