Procedure for involvement: Elected by local and regional associations, members of the Federation.
Specific Criteria:
To be a part of the NFYA:
Youth associations must have a local and regional base, be of non-political or-religious nature, and identify with the objectives and regulations of the NFYA.
For the purposes of the previous point, it is established that youth associations are those that have legal personality, at least sixty percent of members under thirty years of age, and develop activities with young people as agents and recipients, and also Federations made up mainly of youth associations.
Description:
The NFYA represent local youth associations and their Regional Federations, defending their aspirations and fighting to solve their problems; promote associations as an instrument for the active participation of young people in the life of local communities and development agents; stimulate civic and associative education among young people.
The Board of Directors is the executive body of the Federation, and is composed of an odd number of members, between five and eleven, with one of them being the President, another the Treasurer and another the Secretary.
The NFYA was created in 1996 and represents a network of 1000 Associations and 500.000 youngsters. Their mains areas of intervention are:
