Description:
ENGSO Youth is the independent youth organisation of ENGSO (European Non-Governmental Sport Organisation) with more than 30 member organisations, which are all national umbrella organisations for sport from across Europe.
ENGSO Youth gives a voice to the youth sport-for-all sector and represents young leaders in sport under the age of 35.
ENGSO Youth is managed by 9 Youth Committee Members who are elected at the ENGSO Youth General Assembly for a 2-year mandate. Based on the strategy and action plan established by the elected Committee members, the daily work is further developed and implemented by staff members.
ENGSO Youth Committee members and staff meet every month to take stock of the work, share information about funding opportunities and EU Youth and Sport policy developments, discuss current and future projects and further coordinate the actions and activities to be implemented by the thematic working groups.
The Young Delegates Programme constitute the main volunteering internal programme of ENGSO Youth. Twenty-five Young Delegates are selected for a 2-year mandate through an open call with specific Terms of Reference and taking into consideration the geographical and gender balance of the overall Young Delegates programme.
The Young Delegates work together with Committee and staff members within the respective working groups to which they are assigned – 5 Young Delegates per working group.
