Since its launch in 2015, the European Week of Sport has inspired millions to experience the physical, mental, and social benefits of sport and physical activity. Over the past decade, the initiative has evolved into a vibrant movement promoting healthier, more active lifestyles across Europe.

Throughout the whole September, ENGSO Youth ran an online #BeActive campaign promoting key themes such as youth participation, sustainability, mental health, and the importance of regular physical activity.

Empowering Youth Through EUYOUSPORT

Within the EUYOUSPORT project, partners held the second national workshop in Rome (25–28 September 2025), hosted by ENGSO Youth member OPES. The workshop empowered young participants with practical tools and knowledge to advocate for stronger youth participation in sports governance.
Sessions covered themes such as youth engagement, sport governance structures at both European and national levels, and the importance of social inclusion, accessibility, and sustainable development in sports.

Connecting Generations: ENGSO Youth Alumni and Young Delegates

On 30 September 2025, ENGSO Youth hosted the first-ever joint meeting between the ENGSO Youth Alumni Club members and the new cohort of Young Delegates (2025–2027). The gathering marked the beginning of a new chapter in intergenerational exchange, networking, and collaboration within the ENGSO Youth community.

Sustainability in Action: Move4Nature Project

As part of the Move4Nature project, where ENGSO Youth is an active partner, 14 local clean-up actions were organised across Europe to promote environmental sustainability through sport.

Nine Move4Nature actions were initiated by ENGSO Youth Committee members, Young Delegates, and project partners across Europe. The journey began in Italy with an EUYOUSPORT workshop, which also featured a Move4Nature walk.

In Kosovo, the Kosovo Olympic Committee, an ENGSO Youth member, integrated their Move4Nature activity into the annual “Generation 2008” event. Meanwhile in Paris, Committee Member Augustine Libert (French NOC) and Young Delegate Salomé Allain joined forces to organise an urban-inspired Move4Nature action.

Across Europe, other Young Delegates were equally active: Saskia Effert engaged a group of refugee women in Mainz, Germany; Maxime Delay led a large-scale initiative in the Swiss Alps; and Anca Opera launched an action in Romania. Paula Zuecker combined sport and sustainability by using kayaking both as transportation and as a cleanup activity.

In August, Alumni Club Member Paniz Yousefi hosted a “Train the Trainers” Move4Nature workshop in Sweden. Finally, our partners Panathlon Junior Trieste Muggia and Panathlon Junior Roma joined the movement by organising their own Move4Nature adventures in Italy.
