The main focus of the conference was on building sustainable youth programmes and creating more opportunities for young people. Through presentations, discussions and exchanges of good practices, participants explored how national and European federations can support the long-term development of youth activities and create meaningful pathways for young people to grow and get involved in ultimate.
ENGSO Youth was represented at the conference by Committee member,Siiri Turunen. Siiri introduced ENGSO Youth to the participants, presented the EUYOUSPORT project and shared perspectives on meaningful youth participation in sport. She also moderated a panel discussion on “What can national and European federations do to sustainably support the development and growth of youth projects and youth participation in sports?”
The conference provided an opportunity to learn from youth projects and initiatives from different parts of Europe and to exchange ideas on how youth programmes can become more sustainable, inclusive and impactful. The discussions highlighted the importance of creating supportive environments where young people can develop their skills, take on new roles and actively contribute to the future of their sport.
