ENGSO Youth Announces Leadership and Secretariat Transition

ENGSO Youth announces a series of organisational transitions that will take effect from 1 July onwards, ensuring the continued stability and effective governance of the organisation.

Following the resignation of ENGSO Youth Chair, Alessia De Iulis, ENGSO Youth Vice-Chair, Luca Wernert will assume the role of Acting Chair from 1 July, 2026, in accordance with the ENGSO Youth Statutes. He will serve in an interim capacity until the next ordinary Youth Assembly, scheduled for the first semester of 2027.


At the same time, the ENGSO Youth Secretariat, currently hosted by OPES, will conclude its mandate on 30 June, being assumed by a dedicated staff member from 1 July, 2026, to ensure the continuity of the Secretariat’s work and to further support the organisation’s strategic development.

 

ENGSO Youth would like to express its sincere appreciation to Alessia De Iulis for her dedicated leadership and valuable contribution to the organisation.


ENGSO Youth extends its heartfelt thanks to OPES for its longstanding support and commitment in hosting ENGSO Youth Secretariat for the first half of the 2025-2027 mandate.


These changes mark an important new chapter for ENGSO Youth. The organisation remains fully committed to its mission, ongoing projects, partnerships, and support for young people in and through sport across Europe. ENGSO Youth looks forward to continuing its close cooperation with members, partners, and stakeholders while preparing for the next Youth Assembly in 2027.
