Sustainable development

Move4nature Project

Move4Nature

The Move4Nature project was a 2 year long project with the objective to combine physical activity with “concrete” climate action. The project used outdoor sports (particularly hiking) as a tool to teach youth, and adults, about the importance of environmental protection and climate action.

This international and transcontinental project united young leaders from Europe, Asia and Africa to learn, explore and contribute to the sustainable development goals using sport as a tool.

Social inclusion

Human Rights Education Through Sport Programme

Over 100 young leaders from more than 30 countries engaged with this project. The project promoted and it still promotes understanding and advocacy of human rights, leveraging sports as a powerful medium for social inclusion, intercultural dialogue, health, well-being, and active participation

SPIDI (SPORTING INCLUSION AND DIVERSITY)

The project promoted social inclusion, active participation, gender equality, and combat discrimination, specifically targeting young refugees' transition from childhood to adulthood.

SWING - SUPPORTING WOMEN IN ACHIEVING THEIR GOALS

Step in for inclusion

30 young people from all over Europe gathered in Lisbon, Portugal to tackle the issue of exclusion of youngsters with disabilities in sport. The main aim of the project was to increase the participation of young people with disabilities in sports.

RISE – REFUGEES INTEGRATION THROUGH SPORT

The main goal of RISE was to fight against prejudices and discrimination of disadvantaged young people through sports while improving soft skills, knowledge and creating a positive atmosphere fostering inclusion, active citizenship and participation.

ASPIRE

ASPIRE had the main aim of offering suitable participation opportunities for refugees in and through sport, physical activity and play. This aim was achieved by the development and implementation of a training module that was informed by underpinning evidence and enhanced the skills and competences of facilitators in sport organisations how to adapt to the specific context of refugees and migrants.

VOICES FOR TRUTH AND DIGNITY

The project “Voices for truth and dignity – combatting sexual violence in European Sport through the voices of those affected” generated critical research data for the European sport community by listening to the voices of those that have been affected by sexual violence in sport.

EYVOL – EMPOWERING YOUTH VOLUNTEERS THROUGH SPORT

The EYVOL project provided young multipliers (youth leaders and civil society activists) and young people specialized in sport with concrete educational and training tools to be used in youth empowerment activities based on sport and for training of young sport volunteers.

SK4YS – SKILLS FOR YOU(TH) THROUGH SPORT

The Skills for You(th) through Sport (SK4YS) project was a two-year transnational initiative involving European sport, youth organizations, and educational institutions. The project aimed to raise awareness of the soft skills and competencies developed through sport and to enhance the capacity of these organizations to implement sport-based youth development programs.

STUDY ON THE CONTRIBUTION OF SPORT TO THE EMPLOYABILITY OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE CONTEXT OF THE EUROPE 2020 STRATEGY

36 young people enrolled in an educational programme and acquired knowledge and competences on management, digital tools, and values such as democracy, equality and fairness skills that support their role as ambassadors of integrity and active and responsible citizens at multiple levels.

The event was supported by the Council of Europe through the European Youth Foundation with an aim of implementing the Council of Europe’s principles of the Revised European Charter on the Participation of Young People in Local and Regional Life and to further disseminate the Have Your Say! manual.

Scforh Project

SCFORH | SPORT CLUBS FOR HEALTH

ScforH I Sport Clubs for Health was the largest European initiative for the promotion of health in the sports setting. The main aim of applying the ScforH approach was to improve the availability and quality of health-enhanced sports activities. The funded Sports Club for Health projects included 37 institutions from 18 countries.
