On November 6, 2025, the town of Birštonas hosted an event dedicated to the link between physical activity, nature, and youth engagement: the Dare2Move4Nature gathering.

The event was organised by ENGSO Youth in cooperation with Širvintų Sporto Klubas. Its aim was to present the results of the Erasmus+ funded project, encourage young people to spend more time in nature, and collect feedback on the educational materials created during the project. A group of 40 participants, including youth, coaches, and community members, joined the event.

The Move4Nature Hike

The day began with the Move4Nature hike. The group walked through the surroundings of Birštonas during a two-hour route that offered a chance to connect with nature, clean the area, and engage in movement. The hike established the tone for the rest of the program.

Presentation of Dare2Move4Nature Results and Toolkits

Mr. Gintautas Igliukas led the session on the Dare2Move4Nature results and toolkits.

The session introduced the Dare2Move4Nature initiative and its goal to combine outdoor movement, camping, and care for nature. The central part of the session was the presentation of the Dare2Move4Nature toolkits, created to support the organization of nature-focused camps and activities. Participants gave feedback to improve the tools.

The presentation also included experience shared from earlier Dare2Move4Nature camps in Slovenia and Romania, offering examples of camp organization and outcomes.

Dream Camp Creation

In the afternoon, participants took part in a group task: Creation of the Dream Camp. Each group applied the project’s principles and the insights from the toolkit presentation to design a camp concept. The task encouraged cooperation and input from all participants.

Swimming Workshop

Later in the day, Mr. Gintautas Igliukas led a swimming workshop. The session covered practical skills and highlighted the role of water-based movement in Lithuania, a country with more than 3000 lakes and 8000 rivers. The workshop also addressed the need for more awareness about water safety, as accident numbers remain high.

Closing

The day ended with a dinner that gave space for conversation and reflection.
