European Youth Forum Academy 2025
Earlier this month, Policy and Project Manager Chloe Jordan represented ENGSO Youth at the European Youth Forum (YFJ) Academy 2025, and chose to focus on path 3: reclaiming change and space.
Throughout the event, participants explored the idea that civil society is like a coral reef: a dynamic and diverse ecosystem where every element contributes to the whole. Yet, just like a coral reef, civil society can be disrupted by various external pressures and challenges.
Reflecting on her experience, Chloe shared:
“It was incredibly insightful to explore the challenges linked to shrinking civil spaces in Europe, and to discuss how we can address these through resilient campaigns, re-imagining funding models, and applying the theory of change.”
Beyond the workshops, the Academy also provided an excellent opportunity to connect with participants from National Youth Councils across Europe and international NGOs, exchanging ideas and identifying ways to support one another’s work in strengthening youth participation and civic engagement.
A huge thank you to YFJ for providing ENGSO Youth with the opportunity to take part in this inspiring event!
