Duration: Members of the board serve a 2-year mandate.
Procedure for involvement: Any member of the Junior Club can apply for a position on the board. The board is elected by the General Assembly of the Panathlon Junior Club Trieste-Muggia.
Specific Criteria:
Applicants aged between 18-25 years old;
Be involved in sport as an athlete, coach, organiser, student, volunteer, business professional, entrepreneur or activist;
Passionate about sport’s future and its potential to contribute to a better future for the world
Description:
The Junior Club was created in December 2023 with the aim of promoting ethical values in sport and actively involving young athletes and enthusiasts from the city and the region, creating new cultural and sporting opportunities and for sharing experiences and knowledge that enrich the world of sport. The main objective of the Panathlon Junior Club Trieste-Muggia is to provide young people in the community with the opportunity to develop fundamental values such as loyalty, fair play and solidarity through sporting activities.
Through events, training and other targeted activities, the club aims to actively involve young athletes and enthusiasts from the region, thus contributing to the growth of a healthy and responsible sporting community.
The board is composed of 8 representatives, namely: President, Vice-President, Past-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Press Officer, and two Board Members.
The Panathlon Junior Club Trieste-Muggia is the example of a bottom-up approach to youth participation arising at local level.
