ENGSO Youth Welcomes New Committee

The 2025 edition of the ENGSO General Assembly and Youth Assembly, hosted by ENGSO member organisation the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports (NIF) took place from 13–15 June 2025, in Oslo, Norway.

The key highlight of the event was an election of new ENGSO Youth Committee for the mandate of 2025-27. During this period, the ENGSO Youth will be lead by:

Vice-Chair: Luca Wernert, German Sports Youth,(ds) 

Committee member position:  

Marija Leskovec, Croatian Olympic Committee

Jan Fiala, Czech Union of Sport,

Siiri Turunen, Finnish Olympic Committee

Jonathan van Dongen, Dutch Olympic Committee*Dutch Sports Federation 

Olessia Shevchuk, Sports Committee of Ukraine

Augustine Libert, French Olympic Committee

The assembly also marked the end of an era. After six years as a chair Ugne Chmeliauskaitė concluded her mandate. We would like to express our special appreciation for her wholehearted leadership, immense progess and for stepping up for youth and sport. 

Special thanks also go to Valentin Doupona, Erik van Haaren, Mirjana Ivkovic, Isaiah Kioiloglou and Saga Yli-Hannuksela for a commitment to youth & sport in their past, 2023-25 mandate.

And heartfelt thanks to the Secretariat – The Lithuanian Sport Federations Union and to Ringa Baltrušaitė for her invaluable support over the years.

The ENGSO Youth Secretariat is now officially being handed over to OPES Italia.
