ENGSO Youth Committee gathered in Prague, Czech Republic, for the last meeting before EYSP and Youth Assembly in June

On 4-6 April 2025, the ENGSO Youth Committee gathered in Prague, Czech Republic, to discuss upcoming activities, and take part in a joint meeting with the ENGSO Executive Committee.

The meeting was hosted by the Czech Union of Sport, a member of ENGSO. We had the opportunity to talk and meet with two representatives of the organisation: with Mr. Marek Pakosta, Vice Chair, and Mr. Jan Boháč, Secretary General, representing the organisation. We were also joined by Youth in action participant Jan Fiala who gave us an active 10 km Move4Nature tour in Prague.

ENGSO Youth meeting focused on the ENGSO Policy programme, main messages on Youth participation mechanisms, collaboration with ENGSO member organisations and upcoming activities, including the European Youth and Sport Platform, held on 5-7 June 2025, in Munich, Germany, which is an ENGSO Youth flagship event that will gather around 200 young representatives from different national and international sport and youth organisations from all over Europe to discuss and work on the most pressing priorities of the Youth and Sport sectors.

This meeting also marked our final gathering before the conclusion of the 2023-2025 mandate and the upcoming elections in June, which will be held during the ENGSO General Assembly and Youth Assembly. Committee members discussed the translation of the mandate, elections and the Youth Assembly which is scheduled to take place in Oslo, Norway, on 13-15 June 2025, and hosted by ENGSO member the Norwegian Olympic Committee and Confederation Of Sports.

Last but not least, one of the discussion points was the recently opened call for the Young Delegates 2025–27 programme. Once again we are seeking enthusiastic young leaders who are eager to take meaningful action and play a vital role in advocating for and empowering youth in the sport-for-all sector.

The meeting was also an opportunity to join the annual White Card campaign which is led by Peace and Sport, and annually held on 6 April 2025, the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace.
