Council of the EU (Education, Youth, Culture and Sport) met to discuss and approve important matters for Youth and Sport

During the Youth session, on the 25 of November, Youth Ministers approved:

The Council Conclusions on “glocal opportinities for young people in rural and remote areas” recognise that young people in rural and remote areas might face more difficulties in accessing, among others, quality education and training at all levels, social services, healthcare or sport, cultural and leisure activities.

As such, the document invites EU Member States to “support intersectoral collaboration between local quality educational, training, social, health care, cultural, youth care, youth work, sport and leisure facilities that young people living in rural and remote areas can benefit from to ensure equitable conditions of personal development and well-being in their context while also foster physical and digital accessibility to these facilities and related services”.
