Best Inclusion partners discuss the guidebook and recommendations on inclusive workforce in sport

20-21 June 2024, ENGSO Youth Committee member Alessia De Iulis and Projects and Partnerships manager Nadica Jovanovik participated in the Best Inclusion partners meeting which took place in Utrecht, The Netherlands.

The meeting was held in the premises of the WOS offices – De Weerelt van Sport (The World of Sport), organised by the EASE, with the help of WOS. 

 

During the meeting, the partners presented the development of the guidebook for a more inclusive workforce in sport. ENGSO Youth is responsible for the section related to the “age”, focused on how a more inclusive sports workplaces can be when it comes to “age inclusion”. The other two pillars of inclusive workforce within Best Inclusion project include gender and disability. 

 

At the end of the first day, ENGSO Youth Committee member Alessia De Iulis and Projects and Partnerships manager Nadica Jovanovik facilitated a workshop on youth advocacy and participation within the sports organisations, entitled “Are we able to keep youth voices involved?”. Workshop is a part of ENGSO Youth strategic sessions on youth involvement in the decision making in sport organisations in Europe. Read more in our position paper here

 

Day two of the meeting included a discussion on the upcoming deliverables, brainstorming on the structure of the recommendations for the sport organisations to ensure a more inclusive working environment. Next partner meeting will take place in December 2024 in Paris, France.
