Level up. Shape up. Power up. ENGSO Youth at ISCA’s MOVE Congress 2023
The 11th edition of the MOVE Congress took place on 15-17 November 2023, in Madrid, Spain under the theme of “Level up. Shape up. Power up”. ENGSO Youth (EY) delegation included EY Chair Ugnė Chmeliauskaitė, EY Committee member Isaiah Kioiloglou, EY Alumni Club members Laura Maria Lehiste, Fabio Silva, Marissa Schlenker, and EY Young Delegate David Soldatti.
The MOVE Congress 2023 was organised by the International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA) with Spanish partners Fútbol Más and Deporte para la Educación y la Salud (DES) and was held to coincide with the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
This year’s edition focused on how to:
Level up: Gain inspiration, skills and strength to advance to the next level – you don’t need to be a computer game hero to join in, but you’ll learn how to defeat inactivity monsters like one.
Shape up: Fit bodies, fit minds, a healthy planet and a healthy sector can achieve much more. So how can we get into better shape to move with the times and make a difference?
Power up: Supercharge your network, get fit for the digital age and leap into a sustainable future – get inspired by people, cities and organisations who are on the MOVE.
The MOVE Congress traditionally starts with ISCA’s awards which recognizes and celebrates outstanding initiatives and role models in the field of Health-Enhancing Physical Activity (HEPA). After the awards and the official opening, the 2023 edition contionuted to revolve around the topics of health (healthy childhood, workspace, active spaces) and mental health (Icehearts Europe), sustainability with particular focus on planetary health, sport for social good (integration of refugees) and digitalisation. You can read detailed reports from each session here.
The 2025 edition of the MOVE Congress will be held in Denmark.
