Erasmus+ funded Sport for Sustainable Development project united youth leaders, youth trainers, coaches and NGO staff from three continents and involved them in a number of interrelated activities which took place in Senegal, Japan and Europe with an objective to develop their skills on how to use sport as a tool for achieving sustainable development goals.
Participants were equipped with knowledge on how to bring out the potential of the youngsters they work with, and learn how to use sport and act as multipliers for positive change in their local, national and international environment.
The Sport for Sustainable Development project builds on long-term, cross-sector cooperation allowing involved organizations to exchange experiences and methodology in the fields of sport-based non-formal education and youth-led sustainable development, thus also strengthening their capacities for increased levels of action.
The international project team will present the results and outcomes of the project at the closing conference in Paris. Professionals and experts from the field of sport and sustainability will join, to help discuss and explore how we can use sport for sustainable developing and benefit of society.
